    Description

    This auction is for a top of the line rare 1980's custom stag crown hunting knife combo set from BCS Custom knives, made by Bob Schopp of Helena, Montana. Bob made outstanding art custom knives from 1986 until his passing in 2001 and was famous for his retail sales during the Sturgis Rallys. The larger knife is marked: CUSTOM KNIVES - with an acid etched rattlesnake and white tail stag deer. It also has a silicon covered Stag Elk pic on the knarly crown stag handle and a tooled brass silver soldered blade guard with a sharp upswept trailing encapsulated full tang L-6 alloy tool steel blade with a filed blade back and polished mirror finish. The smaller knife also has a crown stag handle, silver soldered blade guard, encapsulated full tang, and same type of tool steel with a raw steel pattern on the drop point caper blade back. The larger knife has a few minor scratches and age marks with a little scar on the elk pic, overall still in excellent condition. The smaller knife appears barely used if at all and also in excellent condition. The top grade leather sheath  is also in excellent condition showing very minor storage wear. Please zoom in on all pictures for details. One knife measures approx. 12" with a 6" blade, the other is 5 1/2" with a 2 1/4" blade and the total weight in the sheath is 1 lb. 5 oz.
