A very fine Italian viola made by Marinus Capicchioni, 1965.
A very fine Italian viola by Marinus Capicchioni in 1965, as indicated on the maker's label, also branded insided to the back. Marinus Capicchioni was one of the best Italian violin makers of the 20th century. This is a superb example of the maker's work based on Tertis model in a perfect state of preservation. The sound has a beautiful character with excellent resonance, power and focus, suitable for a solo performer. The length over the back is 42.8 cm.
This instrument will be sold with an appraisal and a certificate of authenticity by A. Gartsman fine violins.
