    Description

Today we're offering another fantastic, antique doll from the estate we're working on with many more to come!
This charming soldier boy is a tin or metal head doll. We don't know who made him - could be Minerva, Juno or he may have been made in the U.S. as there are no marks. The time period for these doll heads is anywhere from the late 1800's to about 1930.
He stands 17" tall and has bisque hands and a cloth body. His face and hair are painted and in remarkably good condition for his age. He has curly blonde hair and blue eyes.
Hand written in ink on the back of the shoulders is "Leitta Thompson 10/15/1966". We are assuming she is the lady who made him a new body and uniform to wear. He's dressed in a green army uniform with buttons and snaps. He has on striped undershorts, a t-shirt, argyle socks and black shoes. The socks and shoes cannot be removed - not sure if they are glued or what but we didn't want to force them off.
