An interesting offprint from The Magazine Antiques. George Barton Cutten, long an enthusiast and researcher of New York area silversmiths, retired from his post as President of Colgate University in 1942 and moved to Chapel Hill. He also wrote histories of silversmithing in Georgia and Virginia.
Pamphlet. 9.5"x12", 4 pages (single large sheet folded once to make 4 sides), 7 black & white illustrations, showing 29 pairs of sugar tongs. Light wear, slight crease across the center.
