Antique Cary Safe Company vault gate door. Cary Safe Company Buffalo NY USA. Originally nickel plated, as seen in pics there is loss of nickel plate, corrosion has taken its place, seen in pics. The company name is at the mid section of the door center plate, shows wear with loss, corrosion. Spiked finials atop. 1 bar is a slip through design, pass thru, missing top finial, I do not have it or a replacement. No lock mechanism, blank. The hinges are present, loaded style. The top hinge moves freely, lower hinge seems to be frozen, I did not force, I did not oil. I do not know the exact age of the gate, Circa 1900. Last used at The Buffalo Gun Center Jefferson Ave Buffalo NY USA. After the Jefferson Ave store closed in 1972 the gate was taken to a new store location where it was kept in storage until just recently.. Measures 69" high, 34" wide, 1 1/2" thick at the ends and at steel plate areas. I have not weighed the door but I can tell You that it is heavy. Local pickup welcome, encouraged.
