Used because I am second owner, it is in very good condition, This company  made plates more recently but this is an older one, the logo isn't as clear - and the company is really Chy-Made, the words "decorative use" is to keep you from eating off it, DO not use for dinnerware.  There are small manufacturing defects like lines on design,or very very tiny scratch on red large flower.  hey it is made in China ;) The brass could use some polishing but it is on the back and does have small dent and scratch. NOT noticeable from the front and the rim that holds the top of the bowl really does look like gold trim :) My best guess as to age is 1920 to 1940  because of the older "smudgy" hallmark.  It is 9 x 2 inches.  Heavy, weighs 1 pound and 8 ounces.  NO CHIPS or CRACKS OR CRAZING I've seen newer plates from this company but this is the only large bowl that I have seen, bowls didn't seem as popular to hang, the brass enclosing hanger is FACTORY, as I have seen plates with it - it is unique
