    Description

    Antique stag handle fighting knife that is 11 3/4 inches long with an 8 inch carbon steel blade nicely stamped
    "E. J. Ames Exeter". The Ames cutlery company of Chicopee Massachusetts started business in 1847.....
    The knife
    has a solid brass guard and butt plate and may be Civil War era......
    There is a crack in the handle but it is still solid with no movement or wiggles....
    We haven't been able to find an E. J. Ames Exeter but believe it is the same company and either way its a great
    looking fighting knife that would look good in your collection or display.......
