Asian Silver Woven Wire Overlay Dragon Bowl

Description

This is an interesting silver wire encased Asian Blue Dragon Bowl. The blue dragon motif goes all the way around the square shaped pottery bowl. The bowl is wrapped in silver wire that has a notched pattern in the vertical wire on the sides of the bowl. The top and bottom of the bowl has been encased in a type of basket weave of silver wire. The top of the bowl and wires were nicely woven to make a finished edge. There was a lot of work and effort put into this bowl. The bowl measures about 4 1/8 inches across the square sides. It is about 3 1/2 inches in depth. Please look carefully at my photos for the details. Please also note there is crazing in the pottery from time and the age of this interesting bowl.
