Chinese Birds and Flowers Decorative Plate / Shallow Bowl – Scalloped, Textured

Description

This is a beautiful Chinese plate / shallow bowl. The front depicts 2 birds, flowers, buds and foliage, and a crackle design, all overglaze. It may be hand painted but doesn’t say. The back is stamped in red ink “Chinese Porcelain Not for Food Use Paint may Poison Food For Decorative Purposes Only” and the number 30. This gorgeous plate / bowl is 8 - 7/8 inches in diameter at it’s widest, 1 inch deep and weighs 1 pound 4 - 3/8 ounces. There are no chips or cracks but it has manufacturing flaws – glaze pits and bumps, specks in the glaze – as well as some discoloration and wear on the base. There is also a small spot on the front where the glaze is worn / scuffed off. Thanks for looking!
