Old Chinese Porcelain Brush Washer
Description and Item Information
Up for sale is this beautiful, old Chinese porcelain brush washer bowl. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This piece is beautifully glazed in bright turquoise blue (or peacock blue), aubergine purple, and yellow. Applied to the rim are bats and three-dimensional mythical animals that are similar to dragons. The dragon-like creatures bare their teeth, and they have bifurcated tails. The piece stands about 2 3/4 inches tall; it is approximately 10 inches long and 8 3/4 inches wide. It weighs 3 pounds 5.7 ounces, unpacked. It would be a fine addition to a collection of Asian decorative arts.
Identification
This Chinese piece is unmarked. The exact age is not known, but it is believed to be vintage or possibly antique (likely circa 20th century).
Condition
This piece looks very good overall, with no cracks. It has light wear. As shown in Photo 5, there are three tiny chips to one dragon's head. Please review the description and photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying.

1. Payments
Taxes may be applicable. The correct shipping address must be included with payment. Contact the seller before bidding or buying to find out about acceptable payment methods for local pickups or deliveries. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.
2. Shipping
Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not necessarily included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller usually ships on Mondays and Thursdays. The merchandise will normally be shipped on the seller's next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier.
Shipping includes delivery to a physical address via a method of the seller's choice. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping costs may be required. At the seller's discretion, a signature may be required for delivery.
Shipping quotes must be requested prior to all international bidding or buying. For international shipping, there may be parcel size restrictions or prohibitions on certain classes of merchandise. Customs forms will not be falsified.
