    Description

Original folding or “exploded” cut away model of a German U-Boat, printed circa 1910-1914 by a technical press in Leipzig, Germany. The model folds open into numerous layers to fully show the entire inner workings of the U-Boat. Mounted on a thick card backing sheet, with a tipped-on sheet containing a key to the various parts shown – 91 specific items are mentioned in the key, corresponding to numbers in the model. Excellent condition, seemingly hardly handled or used. Fitted into the publisher’s original paper envelope, which itself is in good condition, despite some wear at the extremities. The card backing is approx. (35cm x 25.5cm), when all tabs are opened fully, the model extends to more than 130cm.
