Description
I'mpleased to offer for sale this exquisite fine Chinese porcelain bowl with the following features:
Measures 8.5" in diameter (across the top) and 4" tall
Expertly hand-painted with a myriad of colorful enamel paint, including the serpent cartouches, which are textured
Fine motif of birds, flowers, mountains, trees, villages, rivers, and the classic Chinese dragon/serpent -- all set against gold gilt backgrounds and rim accents
Marked "Yàn" in underglaze on the bottom, which signifies gorgeous, amorous, envious beauty
In excellent antique condition, with chips or significant issues, but rather just some shelf-ware, surface scratches, a hairline splinter that is not visible to the eye (or the camera), and degradation to the enamel paint indicative of normal age and use.
This is a finely hand-painted porcelain item purchased in a local antique store in the 1980s -- its real vintage (era of production) is unknown, although I suspect it to be
between
60-80 years old.
As an added bonus, I'm including a small 4.75" wide x 2.5" tall rice bowl!
Please be sure to open the Shipment and Payments tab to see the various shipping options. I always provide as many shipping options as possible, given that some are better than others for different regions. The cost on the main page is not always the best, so choose the best option during checkout. Please note that I always use the correct box measurements and weight, so if shipping is expensive, it's because the major carriers continue to increase their prices, and because I pack my items extremely well, not because I'm making additional money on shipping. Thank you.
