Bowie knife.
... perfect for hunting game or collecting. This rare fixed blade knife comes with the
CASE  XX
Black Leather Sheath.
This knife has...NEVER been sharpened...NEVER been used...NEVER been carried.
According to the book, "Official Collectors KNIVES"  the blade stamping indicates the
date of manufacturing between
1965 and 1980.
Remember “Back in their day” these older knives were purchased to be used…
Not
collected, making this "Minty condition" difficult to find.

:
This impressive CASE XX fixed blade knife has a
Mirror-like
blade
with the
O
riginal factory edge
.
There is a
false top edge
that could be sharpened if desired and the knife has
No looseness anywhere.
The
clip-point
blade features a
1  1/8" inch long,
upswept & notched
thumb rest,
which helps with better blade control.
This hunting/skinning knife is
factory sharp, straight and has a pointed tip.
This 223-5 knife has.... NEVER been sharpened,  NEVER been used,  NEVER been carried.
The Case XX has been carefully stored over the years and both the knife & sheath are absolute "Minty" in condition, especially for their age.
HANDLE
:
The beautiful and
durable
black handle
has secure spacers at each end.
The flat-head aluminum pommel is shiny and the finger guard area fits your hand very well. This smooth composite handle material (possibly a Micarta type) features
three factory finger grooves
for a secure grip. The shiny pommel end, finger guard, and black composite handle are in
Excellent Vintage condition,
with only a few very faint signs of handling.
This CASE XX  USA hunting knife definitely feels well balanced and solid, when held in your hand.

SHEATH
:
The original black
CASE XX leather sheath
is also included and is in
Excellent Shape
for its age.  This heavy-duty sheath has great
intact stitching
,  a
large belt loop
,
2 shiny metal rivets
, stiff throat, and
working metal snap and fastening strap
. It has been
carefully stored through the years and is Unused
with very minor signs of any handling.
This companion sheath fits the knife like a glove and the
front of the sheath is factory stamped:

This early "C A S E   XX  USA" knife & sheath
combo will make a great addition for the collector or outdoorsman in your family!
