This is a mint+++ Mirror Polished 1st Model Buckmaster Vintage 184 Survival Knife. This is a rare Buck knife to find in mint +++ condition. It has long been discontinued by Buck.
It features a 7 1/2" mirror polished finished 425M stainless steel blade. The knife is 12 1/2" long in total length. This is a rare mirror polished 1st Generation Buck 184 survival knife with compass in pommel. This Buck 184  is mint+++ in the box with the factory Buck sheath with all papers. Made in U.S.A. Buck Custom Shop.
A Mirror Polished Buckmaster 184 is very rare to find mint in the box. They were mirror polished in the factory Buck Custom Shop.
The knife comes in the factory Buck box with all the factory papers and accessories.
You will also receive a copy of Buckmasters Knives by Mr. Richard Neyman.
The Buckmaster 184 knife first appeared in the Buck catalog in 1985.

This is a very nice and rare Polished Buck knife that is no longer produced. This knife is over 25 years old and is still in mint+++ condition. The pictures do an excellent job of describing the knife, box, and accessories as it is a beauty.
The below information has been compiled by the Buck Collector's Club about the specifications of the BuckMaster 184 survival Knife.
BLADE:
425m steel, .290 (5/16") thick with hardness 57 plus RC scale. Overall length, 12.5". Blade length, 7.5" from tip to quillon. Mirror Polished finish.
HANDLE:
4.00" from guard to (but not including) the butt cap. Material polished stainless steel, knurled for secure grip and hollow (7/8" dia) for water proof storage.
POMMEL:
Polished Stainless steel(303 series ss), knurled for easy removal. Large threads and rubber O-ring provide water tight seal between handle and pommel. Flat end on Pommel for pounding tool. Knife comes with two anchor pins.
ANCHOR PINS:
Two detachable polished anchor pins, 2" long. Machine-threaded to fit securely in the Cross guard/Quillion, pointing toward the pommel or butt. Designed to meet the needs of the U.S. Navy SEAL Team: to serve as emergency anchors, rated for 275LB’s to secure line for gear, Zodiac vessels and to provide protection for the hand.
SHEATH:
Impact-resistant thermoplastic "GripTite" sheath. Unaffected by extreme heat or cold. Unique locking action keeps knife securely in place. Includes a built-in emergency sharpening stone on the back, under a tough protective flap. Blade cover(body) with 1.5" black scuba web gear attachment assembly.
Special Features
1) Injection molded thermoplastic body - puncture proof - slotted "ears" allowing accessory pouches - thigh tie slot with string - slot on back with inlayed emergency sharpening stone(coarse aluminum oxide)- "Grip Tight" inner spring will hold thick blades without being strapped and thin blades from rattling.
2) Attachment Assembly - Delrin snap on buckle for ease in affixing sheath on belt or shoulder harness. - durable Nylon web gear
3) Anodized Non-reflective Snaps
4) COMPASS is gas filled and is stored in the end of the pommel.
This is an awesome Buck survival knife that you do not see every day. The Navy Seals have used the BuckMaster knife.
