Old Trench Dagger and Neck Sheath
Knife and sheath are in decent used shape for their age.
The blade and handle are tight, but something is rattling inside the handle(?)
There’s a patina to both pieces that speak of more than a few years of service.
Looks like this was made as a pair, dagger and sheath.
Dagger is made form kitchen knife, well done.
Do not see a hallmark anywhere (is a blotch that looks like something, but don’t believe it is.)
Believe top bits of red, Green and white look to be vinyl and may have been added on later, not sure.
The light tan sheath, and dark brown up top, are leather and perhaps original to this.
(Whole thing may be original, if that is so, than this would be 50s-60’s on up, because of colored vinyl bits.)
Magnet sticks to blade, but not handle.
Had seen table knives turned into daggers for Civil War and some were sterling, giving the guy something to barter with if he had too.
This may be Vietnam or older or maybe just a hippie / biker accessory.
Wish it could talk, someone carried this, probably around their neck, and it has some years on it.
Have a lot of knives for sale.
