Description
Queen beautifully signed Japanese Kirin Sound Together concert program that was created for the bands five sold out shows on the last leg of their 1984/ 1985Works world tour. T
o conclude their globe-trotting 48-show run,
Queen played May 8th, 9th and 11th in Tokyo, May 13th in Nagoya and their last night of the tour on the 15th in Osaka—They turned out to be were the last concerts that Freddie Mercury would perform in Asia.
The Queen program measures a very large 20.25 x 14.5 when opened out, as seen in the image shown. Boldly signed inside on the inside front cover and adjacent page in blue felt tip by Freddie Mercury and Roger Taylor, and in black felt tip by Brian May and John Deacon.
When opened out, these oversized signatures and the
spectacular
photo they signed on look spectacular and would look amazing when framed. I put
matting around it on image number four just to give you an idea of how it would look framed.
The signature placement on this program is just about perfect.
These Queen autographs are Live Aid era autographs. Queen would perform at Live Aid on July the 13th just about two months after these signatures were obtained by an executive of Kirin Beer during Queen’s concerts at Budokan in Tokyo.
The first time I saw Queen in concert was on their first American tour, when they were the opening act for Mott The Hoople’s six night run on
Broadway at the Uris
Theatre here in New York City in 1974. it was easy to see that it wouldn’t be long afterwards for them to achieve superstardom.
These signatures
come with a certificate of authenticity from PSA/DNA (see image).
