One of only 156 non-engraved Leibowitz Special knives.
Near mint, super custom Randall Made Leibowitz Special knife that you rarely see anymore. Originally made for the Shaw - Leibowitz series of knives that Randall was having engraved by Shaw - Leibowitz; only 144 were engraved. The remaining 156 were left in their original condition and were completed with various handle configurations.
"The Shaw-Leibowitz Special was advertised in the late 1970's as "The Lewis and Clark Commemorative", but is known on the collector's market usually as the, Leibowitz Special. This is probably due to the fact that most of the sheaths are marked on the back with "LS".
"This offering started out to be 300 knives but only 144 knives were etched by Shaw-Leibowitz."
This knife has a cut down tang and an awesome Stag handle.
The blade has the original grind and a super sharp original edge.
Never been used or resharpened. One extremely slight scratch on the blade, see pics.
The Johnson Rough Back sheath is original and shows no signs of serious use.
Sheath stamped "LS" for Leibowitz Special.
Some extremely slight handling marks on the sheath, see pics. Original sharpening stone included.
This knife will serve you for your lifetime and you can hand it down to the grandkids.
