    Description

    SCAGEL KNIFE
    This tapered-tang fighter has a blade length of 7.25" and an overall length of 12 1/8". "W. SCAGEL HANDMADE" and "VL...CH..." is stamped on one side of the blade. The kris symbol is stamped on the obverse. The name "HAUXHURST" is stamped on the brass double hilt, The handle consists of wood slabs pinned with brass pins. The pommel is formed by two slabs which appear to be bakelite. The wood slabs and pommel portions are free of any damage; everything is tight. The sheath accompanied the knife when it was purchased in 2001 from the November issue of the Cutting Edge catalog. A photo copy of the pertinent pages of the catalog will be included. Note that the blade has been polished with fine wire and metal polish.
