Luciano Sderci was born in Florence in 1917. Following the successes of his father,
    Igino Sderci
, he dedicated himself to the art of violin making beginning in 1945. As a pupil, he learned how to make instruments that reflect classic designs with golden varnish.
Although he adopted many of his father’s teachings, his instruments echoed his own personal style, with less precision and rougher varnish. However, the sound quality of Sderci’s instruments is excellent. In 1949, Sderci participated in the Cremona Exhibition, where he was awarded the highest honor in 1949. He also received medals awarded in Rome 1954.
