Description
I am offering a very rare animal figure made by WADE HEATH, England
This is a seated WAVING PANDA
Model 338
This figure was produced to promote the arrival of Ming the Giant Baby Panda at London zoo in 1939
Completely hand painted in white and black
The facial expression is particularly wonderful
Excellent vintage  condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, other damage or restoration
Typical glaze crazing although none stained or darkened
The left ear has been modelled somewhat indented as opposed to the left which is an origiinal factory production flaw as it is completely painted over and completely covered in original glaze and due to its black color, is not visible unless examined closely
Some areas of the feet are not as well painted in black - a testament to hand modelled items
Measures 6 5/8" tall
Marked with as shown in photo WADE HEATH in green with 338 impressed
You can check internet references to see this panda model and the number are genuine and authentic
Please ignore all white spots caused by camera flash
