    Description

This Vintage 60s 70s Hand Made Bowie Style Fixed Blade Hunting Knife and Leather Sheath are in good condition but do show signs of age and wear. The blade is unmarked and shows signs of use. The edge has been sharpened but is free of damage and the point too is strong. The blade measures about 5.25" in total length. The crossguard is non-magnetic and has a very slight amount of play in it. The handle is made of a dense wood. The brass pommel unscrews to reveal a threaded male end. The grips cannot be removed easily, but appear to be removable with the use of greater force. The leather sheath is very interesting as it is very hearty in construction and is marked. There are names written on the backside, including the name of an area in Virginia, "Clifton Forge." The leather is thick and the rivets are strong. It looks as if it may have been cut down and modified but if this has been done it was done so many years ago. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best description of condition.
