    Description

    Early Model of a Vintage Custom Made DE LEON DOUBLE EDGE DAGGER.  The Scales on the handle appear to be a smooth Cream, off white color and shaped similar to the coffin style handles with black liners.  It measures 10-7/8 inches overall length with a just north of 6 inch double edge Dagger blade.  The knife is made of 1/4 inch thick High Carbon Steel, (someone told me the S under De Leon meant Stainless steel, but a rare earth magnet locks tight on the blade, so I am saying this one is Carbon steel).   Knife and sheath weigh in at 14.2 ounces.  Full tang construction made from 1 inch blade stock.  There is a brass lined lanyard hole at the butt of the handle.  One side is stamped DE LEON S and the other has a small A L.  This is how De Leon stamped his early knives before he added the E, probably an early version from his time with Ralph Bone (just a guess on my end).  There won't be any more knives made by him since he passed away in 2015. It comes with a
    heavy duty leather sheath.  I'm not for sure the sheath is the original or not, but the knife rides well in it and locks in tight.  De Leon was a very well known and respected Texas knife maker.  De Leon Learned and honed his skills at knife making from RALPH BONE who also worked with Randall Made Knives.
