A fantastic thrift store find!
This Vintage Gumps of San Francisco Asian Pewter Brass Foo Dog Footed Bowl... Such unusual design, Made in Hong Kong with original sticker on the bottom
has a decorative brass hand engraved applique in 3 sides, with a brass rim, and three figural foo dog feet, with brass eyes.
From what I could find in researching, this
footed design was made for Gumps, during the 1930's/40's for the San Francisco store.
A piece, this measures 6.5"T x 10"W x 10"L in diameter and is quite heavy being made of Pewter and Brass. It has normal wear for a vintage piece scruffs, scratches etc that was used and loved, but overall in very good condition for its age...Please note the inside of the bowl showing pitting areas from use...
