Vintage Randall Made Knives Model 8-4 Trout & Bird Knife; Stag, 4” Blade, Sheath

Up for sale is a Vintage Randall Made Trout and Bird Knife. As indicated by the sheath marking, this a Model 8 with a 4” blade. This knife is commonly referred to as the Model 8-4.
On this 4” blade, the primary cutting edge measure approximately 3.25”. The top cutting edge measures approximately 2.25”.
Including the five spacers and the stag, the handle measures approximately 4.25”.
The knife weighs approximately 4.70oz, and the sheath weighs approximately 1.77oz.
The brass single hilt separates the 4” blade from the five spacers and the stag handle.
Based on the thick center spacer, this knife should date between the late 1970s and mid-1980s. This is also consistent with the history that I have been provided of this particular knife.
Please refer to the pictures to best judge the knife’s and sheath’s condition. The knife’s blade does show some minor blade scratches and other signs of wear/aging. Similarly, the brass hilt shows some tarnishing, which I have not attempted to clean away. The stag handle has some verdigris (greenish-colored patina/stains), presumably from oxidation throughout the years and the handle’s close proximity to the brass.
Suitable for small fish and feathered game, this is an excellent example of a Vintage Randall Made Model 8-4 Trout and Bird Knife.
