Vintage/Antique Handmade Heavy Steel Fixed Blade Hunting Knife

Description

This item was found in an estate along with blacksmith tools; some dating back to the 1800s. The handle has a strong tape like wrap around the bottom of the wooden handle; the black at the top of the handle is the actual wood of the handle. This was probably done to help hold the blade in place. The steel in this blade is heavy duty and old. The blade runs down the entire handle. Very nicely made! The tape will not come off. The knife blade also appears handmade. You can see the marks on the blade that points to this being forged. See photos to ensure i am correct on this. See photos for details on size and condition.
