    Description

    Extremely nice RALPH BONE LUBBOCK TX A MODEL FIGHTING / COMBAT CUSTOM MADE KNIFE with its Original JOHNSON'S LEATHER CO. CASSELBERRY, FLA. HEAVY DUTY LEATHER SHEATH w/ Stone.  The knife is tang stamped with the BIG DOG BONE (his early stamp) LUBBOCK, TX. stamp and A 478 on the other side.  If I'm not mistaken this knife was made in 1964 (4) and was the 78th (78) knife made in this model.   The blade has a mirror finish with a brass guard, brass spacers, and brass pommel.  There is 4-3/4" of the top of the blade edge that could be sharpened, the plain edge has never been sharpened after it left Mr. Bone's shop, still has his edge on it.  Overall length is 12-7/8".  Knife and sheath together weight 1 pound 4.7 ounces on my scale.  The sheath is made by the same company that makes Randall Knife Sheaths.  Ralph Bone (1929-2006) made knives in Lubbock, Tx. from 1964 - 1970 then sold his company to Charles Hipp and went to work for Smith & Wesson as an engraver.  Ralph Bone was the most
    famous
    knife maker from Texas and voted top 5 most well known knife makers in the USA.  This is a Quality Custom Made knife that you don't see come up for sale very often.
